Terms & Conditions
Cancellations

If for any reason you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. The required notice for cancellation is 48 hours. If you cancel a session with at least forty eight hours notice, then any fee paid can be transferred to a future session. Where there is less notice of cancellation or if you do not attend your appointment you will be charged the full fee. I hope clients appreciate that it is rarely possible to fill these appointments at such short notice which is why I charge for my time.

With enough advanced notice, where possible, you may be offered an alternative
appointment to replace the one cancelled.

You will be given as much advance notice as possible in terms of holidays or my needing to cancel your appointment for any other reason.

Ethical Framework

This framework is about creating a container that I work in with my clients that is clear,
transparent and safe for both them and myself. It is the platform so that we know where
we are and so that we can get on with the work knowing that this is taken care of.
In order to establish a clear and transparent relationship with my clients, I share the
following information with them:

-
I work in the best interests of my clients and this includes getting my emotional, intimacy and sexual needs met elsewhere outside of my agreement to support them.
-
I do not enter into a romantic or sexual relationship with my clients.
-
Consent is a fundamental part of my work and I commit to supporting informed choice in my clients at all times.
-
I have limits to what I can offer in terms of support between sessions and what I can and can't provide will be made clear at the start of our professional relationship.
-
I commit to recognising the boundaries and limitations of my expertise and techniques and expressing that to my clients where necessary. I recognise that a referral network, ongoing professional development and regular supervision are part of working safely and competently with my clients.
-
I actively consider issues of diversity and equality and acknowledges the need for a continuing process of self-enquiry and professional development in this area.
-
As part of this ethical framework, I will keep records of my work and commit to storing and disposing of them in a way that respects, protects and preserves the client’s confidentiality.
-
If there is a legal or ethical limit to that confidentiality, I will inform the client about this before taking any further steps.

-
Should interpersonal difficulties in our professional relationship arise, opportunities for communication and repair will be made. However, I retain the right to terminate sessions if I feel the client is not benefiting from the service or if my safety is threatened.
